The Lowry neighborhood is approximately 3 square miles located in east central Denver, bounded by Quebec on the west, Dayton on the East, 11th on the North and Alameda on the South. Once a working United States Air Force base, Lowry has transformed since 1995 into a mixed use community and has been given many awards as a model community for urban-infill projects across the country.
Today, Lowry is home to over 9,000 residents in single family homes, apartments, townhomes and condominiums and more than 8,000 workers in more than 140 businesses. Lowry is approximately 95% built out with housing options ranging from $100,000 to over $2,000,000.
Lowry has carefully preserved the best aspects of a traditional city neighborhood while creating a new urban environment distinguished by open spaces (800 acres), a golf course, great parks and sports areas. At Lowry’s historic core, the Town Center features shopping, restaurants, grocery and drug stores, offices, a library, theatre, public art, and a blend of old architecture and new design in an upscale urban setting. The Air and Space Museum in Hangar 1 is an impressive venue for public and private functinos, and soon to be complemented is Hangar 2 development with new restaurant groupings, small offices and commercial use, plus indoor drive-in storage in the actual hangar.
Lowry is a unique, master planned sustainable community designed for people who want a new home, but still desire the urban experience. Downtown Denver, NorthField, the Cherry Creek shopping district, and all major thoroughfares are just minutes away.
