Greenwood Village, Colorado is located in Arapahoe County, immediately south of Denver. Community boundaries are Belleview Avenue on the north down to Orchard Road on the south, and from Broadway on the west to Peoria Street on the East. Greenwood Village founded in 1968, has its own vast parks and trails; its own Police and Fire Departments and City Council. It was originally a rural community but has emerged into an area of residential and nationally recognized business parks. Greenwood Village encompasses a total of 8.35 square miles; has 22 parks and 42 miles of trails and paths and is part of the South Suburban Recreation District which boasts recreation centers including swimming and tennis and numerous neighborhood parks.
The population in 2008 was approximately 15,000 people with the daytime
population rising to 36,000 in the business community. Home styles and prices are very normal from entry level to larger homes on acreage with many neighborhoods boasting their own recreational features. It is part of the Cherry Creek and Littleton school districts. Greenwood Village is a lovely place to live and is close the amenities of Denver.
